About the role
An entry-level nursing position within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP), responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care in a dialysis setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients, including data collection pre, during, and post-hemodialysis.
- Delegate tasks to care staff and collaborate with the healthcare team on treatment plans and patient education.
- Administer medications, initiate emergency responses, and ensure proper laboratory procedures.
- Participate in staff training, orientation, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
- Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience; dialysis experience preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and work in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to infectious materials.
- Experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis and leadership capabilities for supervisory roles.
