Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Role Overview: The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering and coordinating high-quality care for patients undergoing hemodialysis. Key Responsibilities Conducts comprehensive patient assessments and documents data before, during, and after treatment, adjusting plans as needed.Provides patient and family education on treatment options, healthcare needs, and transplant modalities.Administers medications, manages emergency situations, and ensures safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy.Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop, update, and implement individualized care plans.Ensures proper laboratory procedures and maintains documentation accuracy.Participates in staff training, orientation, and quality improvement activities.Delegates tasks appropriately to team members and supervises other staff when assigned. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with current state licensure.CPR/BLS certification required.Entry-level experience, preferably with some hemodialysis background.Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and collaboration skills.Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and moving equipment. Additional Information: The role involves working in a healthcare environment with exposure to infectious materials and may require travel. The position includes supervising or overseeing other nursing staff after meeting experience requirements. All duties are performed following policies, standards, and regulations to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
