Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

About the Role

The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering and coordinating clinically competent care to patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, develop and modify treatment plans.
• Administer medications and ensure safe delivery of dialysis therapy.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient and family education.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Supervise and mentor staff as a Team Leader or Nurse in Charge, following policy, standards, and regulations.
• Handle emergency responses and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current nursing licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry-level nephrology nursing experience; chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and patient mobility assistance.
• Strong teamwork, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
