Schedule

This is a full-time position with the option to work four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. No nights, no call, no weekends, no holidays.

Responsibilities

• Obtains a health history on patients by telephone or appointment.
• When patient has an appointment, performs a physical assessment in addition to a history.
• Orders preadmission tests following anesthesia’s criteria and physician orders.
• Uses nursing judgement when deciding which charts need to be seen by anesthesia.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Texas license as a Registered Nurse.
• Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Two years experience as an RN in a hospital or outpatient environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
• Critical care experience.
