Outpatient PT/OT Rehab Assistant - Part-time

Essential Functions

• Aids in patient care by preparing supplies/materials for treatment sessions and physically assisting patients.
• Assists with rooming and performs in-clinic check out and scheduling to improve patient experience.
• Maintains the daily schedule, managing appointments, cancellations, and appointments on the wait list.
• Inventories, orders, and ensures adequate quantities of supplies and equipment based on department needs.
• Stocks department rooms and maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment.
• Cleans treatment areas, equipment, and treatment materials/toys after each session.
• Maintains compliance with expiration dates and refrigerator temperatures, taking corrective action as necessary.
• Works with the clinical engineering department to maintain a missing equipment report.
• Collects and ensures the delivery of instruments and equipment to sterile processing or food services department.
• Greets patients and families in a welcoming manner, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
• Manages telephone calls and documents information appropriately to support the Clinic Coordinator and clinic operations.

Education and Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred or relevant education.

Licenses and Certifications

• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required.
