Join Psychiatric Medical Care's adolescent behavioral health outpatient program, "Embrace U", a combined Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) treating patients ages 10-18. This is an onsite position located in Smyrna, TN.

About the role

The Program Therapist provides therapeutic services for patients utilizing group, individual, and family therapy sessions in an intensive outpatient environment. They work within a small, interdisciplinary team with a focus on quality patient care and provision of services ordered by a physician. The Licensed Therapist documents all completed services in compliance with provided standards and regulations, ensuring thoroughness with details and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the best possible patient care, ensuring accurate completion of the psychosocial assessment, group psychotherapy notes, and treatment plans for each patient.
  • Demonstrate understanding of mental health assessment of child/adolescent population and adolescent counseling treatment, group therapy, and evidenced-based practices.
  • Provide understanding of adolescent case management and ensure an appropriate discharge plan is in place for each patient.
  • Ensure the program operates within all regulations, including participating in outcome studies timelines, understanding the administration of tests, and reporting as required.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings with the medical director and complete all notes within the prescribed timeline.
  • Comply with all regulations and become a valuable addition to the local community through community education, customer service training, and representing Embrace U as directed by the Administrator.
  • Participate in a cohesive team environment to ensure program success.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work from an accredited graduate school of social work or master's degree in another counseling-related field.
  • Licensure in Social Work or Counseling as recognized by the state (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
  • Must meet any applicable state certification standards.
  • Two to three years of clinical experience with the adolescent population preferred.
  • 2+ years of psych experience post Master's graduation.

Pay

$70,000–$75,000 based on experience and licensure.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
