Outpatient Physical Therapist - Statesville

Sign-on bonus eligible: $10,000 for experienced candidates (2+ years), $7,500 for new graduates.

About the role

Works independently to provide physical therapy evaluations and therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician, consistent with hospital policies and procedures, standards of practice, and regulations as directed by the Rehab Director. Provides assistance to the patient in the restoration of function and prevention of disability following disease, injury, or loss of a limb. Has full access to patient health information.

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Requirements

• Current licensure in NC as a Physical Therapist or state licensure examination eligible
• CPR certification required through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross (must complete upon hire if not currently certified)
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation which includes age and population-specific skills for the area of practice, addressing the growth and development needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

Physical demands

• Positioning, transferring, and lifting patients
• Full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
