About the role
AASL is a family-owned, pediatric private practice in Tampa and Valrico, FL, offering speech-language, occupational, social skills, feeding, and reading/writing therapy. We work with clients of all abilities, from early childhood through young adulthood. Our therapies support individuals to acquire communication and functional life skills to grow as unique and special people and thrive within their respective communities.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat pediatric clients, ages 18 months old to teenagers and young adults.
- Utilize a full inventory of diagnostic tests and therapy materials to support clients in acquiring communication and functional life skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care for each client.
- Participate in mentorship support and cohort meetings to discuss clients and therapy interventions.
- Contribute to annual goal setting to encourage personal and professional growth.
Requirements
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Experience assessing and treating pediatric clients.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and families.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Florida.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
