Requirements

• Active license and registration as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• For Physician Assistants:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • NYS-approved training.
  • Certification by NCCPA.
  • At least one year of ambulatory care experience.
  • CPR certification.
• For Nurse Practitioners:
  • Graduation from an approved NP program.
  • Certification by AANPCB or ANCC.
  • Pharmacology coursework.
  • At least one year of ambulatory care experience.
  • CPR certification.
• Preferred: Three years of nursing experience in ambulatory settings for NPs.
