Outpatient Neurologist Teaching Opportunity

About the role

Vassar Brothers Medical Center, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking dedicated and well-trained neurologists to join its growing Neurosciences Program. The outpatient practice is located in Poughkeepsie, NY, just 75 minutes north of New York City in Dutchess County. The Neurology Division is part of a comprehensive neurosciences program spanning a 7-hospital system that includes Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, and rehabilitation. The program recently received full accreditation for an ACGME-approved residency program, offering ample opportunity for physicians passionate about supervising, educating, mentoring, and evaluating residents and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient neurology care in a multidisciplinary neurosciences program
• Supervise, educate, mentor, and evaluate residents and medical students within an ACGME-accredited residency program
• Collaborate with a team of established neurologists, neurosurgeons, interventional neuroradiologists, and rehabilitation specialists

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology
• Subspecialty training preferred in epilepsy, movement disorders, and/or neuromuscular disorders (desired but not required)
• New or recent graduates welcome to apply
• Commitment to teaching and academic medicine
