About the role

Join a team dedicated to optimizing healthcare for Durango and the surrounding region. Provide exceptional outpatient neurological care, evaluate and manage a broad range of neurological conditions, and perform/interpret electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS). Collaborate with primary care providers, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation specialists, imaging teams, and other specialists to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. Participate in regional outreach clinics to expand access to neurological services in rural communities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage outpatient neurological conditions including movement disorders, epilepsy, headache disorders, neuromuscular diseases, stroke follow-up, dementia, and multiple sclerosis.
• Perform and interpret electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) for neuromuscular disorder diagnosis and management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Participate in outreach clinics throughout the region to strengthen access to neurological services.

Requirements

• Completion of a residency or fellowship in Neurology.
• Board certified/board eligible in Neurology by an acceptable board.
• Active or eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado.
• Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.
• Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the CommonSpirit Health system.
