About the role
Provide mammography services that meet patient, ordering Physician and reading radiologists needs. May be required to provide backup coverage for other outreach sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform high quality mammograms, bone density scans, ultrasound exams, and invasive procedures for physician's interpretation in an environment that is respectful to others, adaptive to change and accountable for outcomes.
- Support culture of safety in the workplace.
- Accurately schedule exams and document events/occurrences in EPIC and Penrad.
- Identify improvement opportunities for the department/organization.
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Registered in Radiography and Mammography.
- Current registration in Radiology from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
- Current licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
- BLS certification.
Physical requirements
- Continuous requirements: perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting; bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions; fully use both hands and legs; possess good finger dexterity; perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders.
- Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
- Maintain 20/40 vision corrected; see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance.
- Work in a latex safe environment and work indoors.
- Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted; exert up to 50 lbs of force; lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs.
- Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
