About the role
The Licensed Psychologist provides high-quality outpatient psychological services with an emphasis on diagnostic assessment, neurodevelopmental evaluation, clinical formulation, and individualized recommendations for children, adolescents, and adults. This role supports clients with a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, learning and executive functioning challenges, and co-occurring developmental or behavioral presentations.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental evaluations, including clinical interviews, behavioral observations, standardized assessment measures, collateral review, diagnostic formulation, and integrated report writing.
- Provide diagnostic clarification for autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, mood, trauma-related, developmental, behavioral, and co-occurring mental health concerns.
- Develop individualized, clinically sound recommendations that support treatment planning, school collaboration, family understanding, and access to medically necessary services.
- Provide outpatient therapy, consultation, parent/caregiver guidance, or brief intervention services as appropriate to role, scope, and client need.
- Collaborate with internal interdisciplinary providers, including speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, behavioral health, and autism services teams, as well as external medical, school, and community providers.
- Use trauma-informed, culturally responsive, developmentally appropriate, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches in assessment, treatment planning, and client/family communication.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation in the electronic health record, including diagnostic reports, treatment plans, progress notes, and related documentation.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultation, program development, and ongoing efforts to strengthen MAC’s outpatient mental health and neurodevelopmental services.
Qualifications
- PHD or Psy.D. in Clinical or School Psychology
- Current unrestricted Licensed Psychologist (LP) license in Minnesota
- Experience with psychological assessment and DSM-5-TR diagnostics
- Strong clinical writing and diagnostic formulation skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience completing psychological evaluations for autism, ADHD, developmental differences, emotional/behavioral concerns, and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Experience administering and interpreting standardized psychological, developmental, behavioral, adaptive, cognitive, and autism-specific assessment measures
- Strong clinical writing skills, including the ability to produce integrated, family-accessible, and professionally polished diagnostic reports
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a range of developmental and clinical presentations
- Interest in contributing to the continued development of outpatient mental health, psychological assessment, and neurodevelopmental services within a growing nonprofit organization
Pay
Salary: $100,000-$120,000/year.
