Outpatient Lab Specialist (Phlebotomist) - (Per-Diem)

Purpose & Scope

The major responsibility of this position is to facilitate patients who are sent to the Hospital for Outpatient Laboratory testing. This includes registration of patients and in-depth understanding of the various insurances and proper specimen collection.

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• One year of healthcare/medical - phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in typing is preferred.
• Computer experience is preferred.
• Hospital experience is preferred.

Experience

• No certification or licensure is required.
