Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinical Program Therapist manages the program milieu, participates in Quality and Risk Management, and ensures the safe and effective delivery of care. They also assist in the implementation of outpatient care programs, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Have flexible hours to meet business needs
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Maintain patient/family confidentiality and provide sensitive, respectful, and compassionate customer service
- Work with various patient populations including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Qualifications
- CPR Certified and able to perform CPR techniques
- CPI certified and able to complete physical management training and perform physical management techniques
- Strong critical thinking skills, diplomacy, and relationship building
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and timely follow up
- Knowledge of and commitment to Kindred Healthcare's mission, philosophy, objectives, and Core Six Values
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling
- Licensure as LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPC-I
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a psychiatric setting
- Experience in Therapeutic verbal de-escalation techniques
