Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments for all specialty clinic and outpatient infusions.
• Collaborates with surgical and/or cardiac rehab staff to provide patients with education and preps required for their procedure.
• Assists in the admissions of patients and documents steps according to policy.
• Aids in the transfer of patients in an emergent situation and completes all required paperwork.
• Administers medications orally, subQ, IM, IV, and per central line as prescribed by medical providers.
• Establishes priorities and organizes work for efficient delivery of patient care.
• Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changes in workload or patient assignments.
• Generates MAR, documents MAR, and assists in the transfer of patients.
• Provides patients with education for pre/post procedure or treatment and plan of care.
• Performs assessments of patients as indicated.
• Participates in continuing education programs and staff meetings.

• Works in harmony with assigned co-workers and other department staff.
• Willingly accepts assignments to special projects.
