Outpatient Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for full-time, part-time, or PRN opportunities performing outpatient visits. This role serves adult and geriatric patients on a per-visit basis in senior living communities throughout McLean, VA. As part of a multi-disciplinary health care team, you will provide rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive necessary medical care while remaining at home.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
• Travel within the assigned territory to provide care in senior living communities.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support clients' medical and rehabilitative needs.

Requirements

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the state of Virginia.
• Graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA (as indicated by school transcript or diploma), or two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service (if initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977).
• At least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Pay

Base pay ranges from $38.00 to $42.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
