About The Position

  • Proactively acknowledge, greet, and help customers in any area of the store.
  • Aid customers/donors in a timely and courteous manner by answering questions or directing them to a supervisor.
  • Perform accurate Point of Sale (POS) and cash handling, checks, and credit card procedures.
  • Responsible for closing out assigned cash drawer and balancing the till at end of shift.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Support team members, assist supervisors as necessary.
  • Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; report any potential hazards or accidents.

Position Requirements

  • No previous experience or education required
  • Some retail and sales experience helpful
  • Ability to read, speak, and write Basic English and perform basic math skills
  • Able to communicate through standard telephone and wireless audio systems
  • Certificates, licenses, or registrations: None
  • Computer/Technology Skills: None

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 30-40 pounds
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Bend and reach with hands and arms
  • Use feet to operate foot pedal operation
