Responsibilities

The Outlet Production Associate is responsible for sorting salable from salvage material and preparing merchandise for sale, sustaining production plant and retail operation. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Loading and unloading transportation containers
• Removing goods from transportation containers and placing in designated areas
• Sorting and removing salvage material and garbage from salable goods
• Evaluating and determining product value as requested
• Preparing salable goods for retail store
• Maintaining production tallies
• Identifying goods for special sales and auctions
• Removing and processing unsold items from sales floor as appropriate
• Building and maintaining internal and external customer satisfaction
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Demonstrating safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reporting any potential hazards or accidents

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• No previous experience or education required
• Ability to read, speak and write Basic English and perform basic math skills
• Ability to work with a diverse team

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 40-60 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; balance; bend and reach with hands and arms; use feet to operate foot pedal operation; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb ladders, sit, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an outdoors environment, temperature varies with weather and exposure to dust. The noise level in the work environment is loud. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Pay

Pay Rate: $21.30 /hour
