Outlet Host/Hostess - Hard Rock Cafe

About the role

The incumbent is responsible for all activities pertaining to cleaning and maintenance of all food and beverage wares, kitchens, and service areas. The organization, sanitation, and cost of operations must align with the overall Food & Beverage goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest to improve guest satisfaction and promote positive guest relations.
• Escort guests to their tables/booths in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Inspect dining area and set the table/booth when necessary.
• Practice and observe the safety rules and regulations in all dining areas.
• Run all required reports for the server, including the micro cashier report and the batch report from the credit card machine.
• Serve efficiently between 25-35 guests per half-hour.
• Complete all opening and closing side duties.
• Stock areas with all necessary items, during the shift as well as the end of the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of all dining areas.
• Ring all financial transactions accurately.
• Follow all policies and procedures regarding alcohol.
• Accurately verify all banks received and returned from cage or cash room.
• Take reservations when necessary.
• Be knowledgeable of events.
• Attend seminars when needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and write English required.
• Two years’ guest service experience in a family or formal dining environment.
• Casino Food & Beverage experience preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

Knowledge

• The ability to anticipate guest and employee needs.
• Good communication skills and maintaining a friendly, personable attitude at all times.

Ability

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Liquor License.
• IGC Badge when working.
• Able to stand 50% of shift, walk 45% of shift, and sit 5% of shift.
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to withstand noisy environments.

Pay

$15 - $20/hour
