About the Role
This is an Operations position responsible for loading pre-assembled merchandise, pallets, and master containers for shipment or transporting on delivery vehicles under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments as required; constant lifting of boxes weighing up to 100 pounds each
- Load trucks according to truck mapping and special instructions
- Load product in a manner to avoid damages and maintain load stability to ensure driver safety
- Wrap pallets by machine or hand to ensure stability
- Unload and clean out trucks as necessary
- Operate stock trucks and mechanical jacks throughout the plant in a safe manner
- Prepare products for shipment by weighing, handling, and transporting as necessary
- Mark, address, load, and pack product for proper delivery and condition
- Hand load product onto trucks as required
- Comply with all safety regulations and standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Good physical stamina
