Oversees the put-away of inbound product into inventory and the pulling and staging of outbound products for shipment. Responsible for the flow of product into and out of inventory to shipping locations. Directs Arhaus employees and temporary associates under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, creating assignments while maintaining and improving daily operations to ensure high inventory accuracy. Ensures operations are conducted safely, productively, and effectively to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Set the tone and provide leadership, supervision, and direction to assigned Distribution Center team members and temporary associates.
- Support other departmental leads and management initiatives on and off the floor to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and process improvements.
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with creating the daily door sheet and coding the delivery schedule to align with the day’s workload.
- Assist in the creation and execution of the shift plan for put-away and pulling, aligned with the overall DC Daily Plan.
- Work with Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors to assign AWM work schedules prior to the start of shift, evaluating staffing and cross-referencing with the vacation schedule.
- Ensure SHP locations are clear in STORIS prior to pulling new product; report discrepancies to Selection Supervisors immediately.
- Assist with pulling product, provide coverage for breaks, and ensure the team has no downtime.
- Report any associate “not working” during scheduled work times to a Supervisor.
- Relay time-sensitive information and conflicts between associates in a professional and confidential manner.
- Review monthly safety topics during morning meetings and conduct regular equipment audits.
- Emphasize safety, identify unsafe work practices, and report them to your supervisor.
- Read and understand job aids/work instructions and follow oral instructions to execute component flow requirements.
- Maintain, refine, and improve processes to meet customer requirements, including deadlines and quality standards.
- Provide a positive and engaging working environment, focusing on DC metrics and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar suite.
- Ability to train individuals in put-away, pulling, and warehouse processing functions.
- Willingness to adjust schedule and hours as needed to support department needs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- No physical limitations that prevent carrying and moving furniture weighing up to 150 pounds.
- Certification on a reach truck and pallet jack required.
- Consistent, regular scheduled attendance is essential.
