Out of District Coordinator for Student Services

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee learning opportunities for students placed outside of their school district
• Develop transitional plans for the return to their local, neighborhood school upon development of skills appropriate to access their education in their least restrictive environment
• Collaborate with local charter schools, private schools and community agencies to meet the needs of students placed outside public schools
• Be a liaison to the courts and state agencies
• Track foster students who move in and out of the district

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• Experience working with students in out-of-district placements
• Knowledge of educational policies and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
