OT Occupational Therapist Home Care (Pediatrics & Adults)-1099

About the role

Personal Touch Home Care is expanding its Special Needs Program and seeks compassionate Occupational Therapists. This is a fee-for-service position, paid per visit, and is a 1099, contracted position.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care to assess medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and restrictions.
• Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined by the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the physician.
• Educate patients and families in appropriate therapy methods.
• Evaluate patients, document progress, and prepare discharge documentation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality, HIPAA, and federal residents' rights.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy college or university.
• Valid professional license and registration for the state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Two (2) years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist, with home health experience preferred.
