OSD Clerk

About the role

The OSD Clerk position at R+L Carriers' Alexandria, IN Service Center is responsible for investigating freight overages, shortages, and damages upon arrival. Duties include taking photos, using a forklift, handling freight manually, and communicating with customers to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Investigate freight discrepancies upon arrival
• Take photos of damaged or missing freight
• Move freight using a forklift
• Handle freight manually when necessary
• Communicate with customers to resolve freight issues
• Work in an open area with a non-climate controlled environment

Requirements

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Professional, self-motivated, energetic, and reliable
• Fast-paced environment experience
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook, and other Microsoft products
• Preferred 2+ years of experience in freight OSD or similar roles
• Forklift operating experience
• Shrink wrap machine experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
