Orthopedics Surgeon (Trauma Surgeon)
Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our staff in Cooperstown, NY.
About the role
Fellowship training encouraged but not required. This surgeon will have access to an OR for urgent and “cold trauma” cases in a room reserved for emergent surgery, with time allotted for elective trauma reconstructive practice. Separate call schedules exist for Spine and Hand. The practice covers one centrally located ER.
- Join an established group of Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)
- Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
- Become part of a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
- General Orthopedic Call with Orthopedic Hospitalist
- Referral base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians
- Dedicated OR Trauma Room
- Full support staff including APCs, with surgical residents and medical student interaction
- Visa sponsorship available
Requirements
- MD, DO, or MBBS
- BC/BE in Orthopedics
- Completion of an accredited USA residency in orthopedic surgery, resulting in board eligibility
- New York Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification
- DEA Required
Pay
Salary Range: $588,390 - $690,684. This range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of posting, based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation. Bassett offers physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap, allowing individual performance and productivity to significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
Supportive transition bonus of $10,000 and full onboarding program.
