Orthopedics - Sports Medicine

About the role

The ideal candidate is a medical provider with additional training in sports medicine to provide conservative treatment and orthopedic recovery from musculoskeletal injuries. The candidate would be the anchor for the satellite office in Commerce for the Piedmont Athens Orthopedic group delivering orthopedic care at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orthopedic care at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Georgia
• Anchor the satellite office in Commerce for the Piedmont Athens Orthopedic group
• Pursue an interest in the community surrounding the new office space in Commerce
• Possess leadership skills to further develop the orthopedic program partnering with current Orthopedic surgeons

Requirements

• Additional training in sports medicine
• Experience in general orthopedics
• Experience in sports medicine
• Experience in joint/Adult Reconstruction
• Experience in trauma orthopedic surgery
• Experience in hand/wrist surgery
• Experience in foot/ankle surgery

Qualifications

• Medical degree
• Board certification in orthopedic surgery
• Board certification in sports medicine
