Nature and Scope
This position is responsible for the safe application and maintenance of orthopedic and DME equipment supplied through the department. Patient training and education about orthopedic devices and equipment will also be required of the incumbent.

- Ability to provide follow-up care of traction patients, patient education, and post-operative assistance with patient ambulation.
- Ability to take direction from nursing and professional staff.
- Willingness to support Renown Health Standards of Conduct.
- Ability to apply, monitor, manage, and manipulate all Renown Health traction devices.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and function professionally in a high-intensity work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Experience: Prior experience in a clinical setting, with Orthopedic experience being preferred and/or the completion of Basic EMT courses. EMT I is preferred.
- Licenses: None.
- Certifications: Valid BLS certification by the American Heart Association standards.
- Computer / Typing: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
