This involves conducting comprehensive physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless and high-quality inpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, utilizing specialized training and skills to assess, diagnose, and manage hospitalized patients under physician supervision
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams (within established protocol)
- Obtain medical histories when necessary
- Diagnose, treat, and monitor chronic diseases (within protocol guidelines)
- Order diagnostic tests
- Prescribe or recommend medications and treatments (within protocol guidelines)
- Promote positive lifestyle habits to all patients through education and counseling
Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing studies
- 3–5 years clinical nursing practice in an acute care setting required
- 1–3 years previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute or primary care setting or equivalent RN experience
- Licensed as an RN in the state of TN/GA
- American Heart Association BLS (BLS-CPR)

$89,419.20 – $129,376.00 per year
