About the role

Concentra is seeking an orthopedic surgeon as a 1099 independent contractor to provide on-site care. This contract position is designed to complement your current practice, with a typical partnership involving approximately a 4-hour shift per week or biweekly. You will assist in managing medically complex patients, expediting return to work and functional restoration, and collaborate with medical and therapy providers to deliver specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, you will communicate with employers and play an active role in case management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal care for work-related injuries, including both non-surgical and surgical treatments.
  • Work collaboratively with medical and therapy providers to manage medically complex patients.
  • Expedite patients' return to work and functional restoration.
  • Communicate with employers and participate actively in case management.
  • Commit to a flexible schedule of approximately half a day per week or biweekly, accommodating your private practice.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program from an accredited university.
  • Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Must carry medical malpractice insurance that covers you while on-site at Concentra.

Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in treating patients with work-related injuries.
  • Licensure requirements of the state of practice.

Pay

Compensation for services is determined by a revenue share model.
