Orthopedic Surgeon
About the role
Concentra is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to provide on-site care as a 1099 independent contractor. This contract position is designed to complement your existing practice. A typical engagement involves treating patients at a Concentra location for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis.
Concentra Advanced Specialists assist in managing medically complex patients, expediting return to work, and facilitating functional restoration. You will collaborate with medical and therapy providers to deliver both non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, you will communicate with employers and play an active role in case management.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients on site for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis
- Provide non-surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries
- Collaborate with medical and therapy providers
- Communicate with employers and participate in case management
Schedule
- Half-day per week or biweekly
- Flexible scheduling with consideration of your private practice
Compensation
Compensation for services is determined by a revenue share model.
Requirements
- Preferred experience in treating patients with work-related injuries
- Licensure requirements of the state of practice
- Graduate of accredited MD or DO program from an accredited university
- Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Must have medical malpractice insurance covering services provided on site
