Duties & Essential Job Functions
- Evaluates, diagnoses and treats of diseases and injuries to the musculoskeletal system
- Orders and interprets musculoskeletal diagnostic imaging tests
- Counsels patients in both non-operative and operative modalities to treat Orthopedic pathology
- Performs patient evaluation and treatment in both the ambulatory and hospital setting
- Supervises and participates in education of APP's, residents and medical trainees
- Documents in the electronic medical record accurately and in a timely manner
- Provides on-call coverage as agreed upon between the bargaining organizations
- Maintains continuing medical education based on the requirements of the Orthopedic Board
- Upholds the policies and procedures of the medical staff guidelines
- Performs additional tasks as needed to facilitate patient care
Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) is required
- Minimum Experience: Completion of an approved residency in an appropriate specialty
- Required: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Required Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of California. Valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Number
Pay
Pay Range: $262.66/Hour - $273.18/Hour
