About the Role
Provides specialized orthopedic care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, acting as a liaison between physicians, hospital staff, patients, and families to ensure seamless patient management.
Responsibilities
- Complete orthopedic consultations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and coordinate pre-operative assessments.
- Schedule and assist with surgical procedures, perform daily patient rounds, and update medical teams.
- Perform bedside procedures such as aspirations, injections, splints, casts, incisions, and reductions.
- Assist in surgeries and ensure adherence to Service Excellence standards.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients, ensuring coordinated care.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree required; Doctoral preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PA or NP, with 3+ years in orthopedics preferred.
- Board certification and active Florida Medical Licensure.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills for a fast-paced environment.
