Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage hip and knee joint disorders through surgical and non-surgical methods
  • Perform primary and revision total joint arthroplasty of the hip and knee, utilizing advanced technologies and ambulatory surgery centers
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapy, pain management, and primary care for comprehensive patient care
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and ongoing education
  • Participate in orthopedic call coverage as assigned
  • Contribute to teaching and research activities, with optional academic involvement

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency
  • Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Joint Arthroplasty
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Active Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one

Skills

  • Expertise in primary and revision total joint arthroplasty
  • Proficiency in robotic-assisted and computer-navigated surgeries preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and dedication to patient-centered care
  • Community outreach experience is advantageous
