Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage hip and knee joint disorders through surgical and non-surgical methods
- Perform primary and revision total joint arthroplasty of the hip and knee, utilizing advanced technologies and ambulatory surgery centers
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapy, pain management, and primary care for comprehensive patient care
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and ongoing education
- Participate in orthopedic call coverage as assigned
- Contribute to teaching and research activities, with optional academic involvement
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency
- Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction / Joint Arthroplasty
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Skills
- Expertise in primary and revision total joint arthroplasty
- Proficiency in robotic-assisted and computer-navigated surgeries preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and dedication to patient-centered care
- Community outreach experience is advantageous
