About the Role
LifeBridge Health, a $2B+ healthcare system with 13,000 team members, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon to join the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO) in Baltimore County, Maryland. This role offers the opportunity to build and lead the Foot and Ankle Division, engage in resident and fellow education, and contribute to high-impact clinical research at one of the country's top orthopedic programs.
- Build and lead a comprehensive Foot and Ankle Division within a nationally recognized orthopedic institute.
- Academic involvement: Work directly with orthopedic surgery residents and engage in didactic and clinical teaching.
- Research support: Access to dedicated research infrastructure with opportunities for grant writing, clinical studies, and publications.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across sports, trauma, total joint, spine, and pediatrics.
- Four days of required call per month, with opportunity for additional call.
About RIAO
The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics is home to some of the world's most renowned orthopedic surgeons, providing state-of-the-art treatment for both children and adults. The institute performs approximately 5,000 orthopedic procedures and conducts more than 50,000 office visits annually. RIAO hosts an ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery residency and multiple fellowship programs, with faculty deeply involved in education, surgical training, weekly didactics, journal clubs, case conferences, and intraoperative teaching. Onsite radiology and adjacent physical therapy are available.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Completion of Foot & Ankle Fellowship.
- Ability to successfully obtain Maryland Medical License without restrictions.
- Current DEA license.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Passion for education, program building, and clinical excellence.
Location
LifeBridge Health hospitals are located in Baltimore, offering easy access to cultural richness and diversity. Pay
This role offers a competitive guaranteed base salary of $450,000–$500,000, dependent on specialty, board certification, and experience. Additional compensation opportunities through wRVU production and quality incentives are available.
