About the role
You will be responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within an assigned territory. This position involves consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of Arthrex products and procedures, maintaining expert knowledge of our market-leading orthopedic product portfolio, and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with surgeons and healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase territory results.
- Communicate product updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs to customer accounts.
- Implement new sales plans and marketing strategies to position the organization competitively.
- Cross-sell additional products and manage new product introductions.
- Address and resolve problems that arise at customer accounts.
- Support compliance by maintaining privacy, confidentiality, and adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Receive coaching and training from sales managers; transfer knowledge to peers as needed.
- Maintain training in sales skills, product features, and critical business applications.
- Collect competitive data and stay current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
- Participate in sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.
- Lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of orthopedic or related experience; sports experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to customers within the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
- Comfortable working in open operating room environments.
- Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and operating room protocols as they relate to Arthrex products.
- Ability to learn technical information, anatomy, and surgical indications.
- Prior sales experience is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to create an effective business plan (30/60/90).
- Commission-driven with strong public speaking and communication skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work well under pressure.
- Self-assurance, competitive drive, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them.
- Adherence to all Compliance and Code of Conduct policies.
- Valid driver’s license and access to your own transportation.
