Orthodontic Assistant - Birmingham Orthodontics
About the role
We’re looking for a skilled, caring Orthodontic Assistant to join our fun, patient-focused practice at Birmingham Orthodontics. The ideal candidate will partner with the Orthodontist during exams and treatments, prepare and maintain operatories, assist with orthodontic procedures, take digital scans, educate patients, and keep accurate treatment notes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Orthodontist during exams and treatments to ensure each patient receives top-notch care.
- Prepare and maintain operatories and equipment — keeping things organized, clean, and ready to go.
- Aid in orthodontic procedures such as placing/removing wires, bands, and retainers.
- Take digital scans and help fabricate custom appliances and retainers.
- Educate and support patients on treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care.
- Keep accurate treatment notes and collaborate with your teammates to deliver amazing results.
Requirements
- Must have some Orthodontic Assistant experience.
- Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, tools, and terminology.
- Positive, patient-first attitude and strong communication skills.
- A desire to learn, grow, and be part of a high-performing team.
