Orthodontic Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a caring, motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our compassionate team supporting both our Fayetteville and Springdale practices. You will deliver hands-on clinical care and create an uplifting experience for every patient under the direct supervision of our licensed Orthodontists.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Orthodontist during exams and treatments, keeping procedures running smoothly while ensuring patients feel safe, relaxed, and valued.
• Perform key procedures such as placing and removing archwires, coil springs, bands, retainers, and attachments.
• Perform precision 3D digital scans and assist in fabricating custom appliances and retainers.
• Guide patients through their treatment plans, proper oral hygiene, and appliance care to leave them feeling confident and empowered.
• Prepare treatment suites, sterilize equipment, and support efficient clinical workflows.
• Keep thorough, precise treatment notes to ensure excellence and continuity in patient care.

Requirements

• Background in dental or orthodontic assisting with a solid understanding of ortho appliances, procedures, and terminology.
• Genuinely kind, respectful, and nice to team members, patients, and doctors.
• Exceptional customer service skills and solid computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently while anticipating the needs of the team and doctor.
• Flexibility to share time and bring high energy to both our Fayetteville and Springdale clinics.
