About the Role
Bennion Lambourne Orthodontics in Sheridan, WY is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking orthodontic assistant to join our growing practice. We offer in-office training for candidates interested in dental or orthodontic assisting but lacking prior experience. Travel is required, as we also staff our Gillette, WY location.
This is a full-time position (32-40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, with general hours of need between 7 am and 5 pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide continual and exceptional customer service for all patients, making the patient the first priority.
- Maintain constant cleanliness throughout the office and sterilize equipment when not assisting.
- Utilize downtime effectively and arrive on time for all shifts.
- Follow the training compact and take responsibility for your training.
- Assist doctors in procedures, carrying them out in an effective and efficient manner.
- Continue learning about office policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Ensure patient safety during their time in the office.
- Review company email and communication board each shift for updates.
- Follow team member guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance.
- Demonstrate reasonable computer and typing skills, with the ability to learn new programs as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a medical setting.
- Experience in a professional setting with direct patient interaction preferred but not required.
- Orthodontic assisting experience preferred but not required.
- Physical demands: bending, stooping, walking, and standing for long periods; great manual dexterity for fine motor movements; ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs.
