Ortho Assistant

Responsibilities

• Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the ultimate patient experience is delivered to every patient.
• Place and remove arch wires, elastic ties, power chains, and other orthodontic auxiliaries (as allowed by state regulations).
• Educate patients on orthodontic care, headgear delivery, and rubber band instructions.
• Assist in patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances, and taking full records to include Panoramic and Cephalometric x-rays.
• Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor’s notes accurately, ensuring home care instructions are clear to patients and/or guardians.
• Perform laboratory procedures including model pour up, trimming, and fabricating clearn aligners.
• Keep chairs stocked and organized, clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment.

Qualifications

• Washington RDA active
• BLS active
• 1 year exp
