Purpose & Need

Patel, Greene and Associates (PGA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Drainage Group Leader to join our Drainage team. The ideal candidate could work from our Orlando office. As a key technical leader, you will oversee multiple projects, direct internal resources, and ensure high-quality deliverables across all drainage-related tasks. In addition, you will take an active role in business development, contributing to the preparation of Letters of Response and technical proposals, and helping shape the strategic growth of the drainage discipline within the firm. What You’ll Do

  • Demonstrate proficiency in drainage concepts and software (HY-8, ICPR, ORD-SUDA, HEC-RAS)
  • Maintain responsible charge over multiple drainage projects
  • Lead marketing efforts for the drainage discipline (preparation of Letter of Response and other Technical Proposals)
  • Direct drainage group resources to produce a quality product
  • Proficient in drainage plans production and technical writing
  • Complete peer reviews, backchecking calculations, and completing tasks from start to finish
  • Provide quality control reviews when necessary
  • Able to lead internal training programs
  • Aid in the strategy planning and growth of the PGA drainage group
  • Requires no technical supervision
  • Directs and mentors engineer interns, designers, and technicians in completing drainage tasks, providing frequent peer reviews on their work
  • Complete tasks and projects within established supervisor’s expectations
  • Perform field reviews as required

What You’ll Need

  • 10 - 20 years of progressively more complex post-registration engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University, majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities in all aspects while continuing to produce at a high level
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on deadline-driven activities
  • Skill in working with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Products
