Description
A supervised internship experience in orientation and mobility (O&M), encompassing lesson planning, direct instruction of iHOPE students, assessment, and paperwork (session notes, etc.). Students are expected to accrue a minimum of 350 hours of internship experience, in alignment with the requirements of the Academy for the Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) for the Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) qualification.
Requirements
- Current student enrolled in a relevant program
- Accrue a minimum of 350 hours of internship experience
- Approval from the student's institution of learning for course credit (if applicable)
