About the role
The Corporate IT team at Moog is seeking an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist to support change efforts across various IT initiatives. Reporting to the Corporate IT OCM Manager, this role involves working in a hybrid environment in East Aurora, NY.
Responsibilities
- Support organizational change, communications, stakeholder engagement, project delivery, business analysis, learning, process improvement, or another related discipline.
- Conduct and contribute to change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, readiness assessments, change risk assessments, and adoption planning.
- Translate project information into clear, meaningful communications and engagement activities for impacted audiences.
- Support stakeholder engagement through interviews, workshops, focus groups, feedback sessions, and other opportunities to understand the employee experience.
- Identify emerging risks, questions, stakeholder concerns, or resistance and raise them early with context and potential recommendations.
- Build relationships with project teams, employees, leaders, and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and trust.
- Maintain clear visibility into assigned work, commitments, risks, dependencies, and changing priorities.
- Apply established OCM tools and frameworks while learning how to adapt the approach based on the size, complexity, audience, and needs of each initiative.
- Capture lessons learned, reusable practices, and stakeholder insights that can strengthen future change efforts.
- Participate actively in coaching, peer learning, and development opportunities designed to build broader OCM capability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Communications, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience supporting organizational change, communications, stakeholder engagement, project delivery, business analysis, learning, process improvement, or another related discipline.
- Understanding of foundational organizational change management concepts and the role OCM plays in successful project delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, audience-appropriate messages.
- Ability to build productive working relationships across different teams, functions, and levels of the organization.
- Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
- Comfort asking questions, seeking feedback, and working through situations where the answer may not immediately be clear.
- Ability to recognize potential issues, gather relevant information, and begin developing recommendations rather than simply escalating problems.
- Interest in developing the ability to connect change management activities, adoption measures, and behavior change to broader project and business outcomes.
- Willingness to learn different OCM disciplines and contribute beyond a single specialty area.
- Change management certification or designation such as ACMP/CCMP, Prosci, or equivalent training is preferred but not required.
