Responsibilities
- Depackage food waste and products brought into the facility
- Aid in managing daily truck loads
- Communicate with team lead on daily depackaging workflow standards
- Perform daily rounds of equipment and document process flows
- Accurately record operational parameters and address unsatisfactory trends
- Write work orders on work management software for repairs and maintenance
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
- Promote an accident/incident-free workplace
- Maintain compliance with the company safety program
- Oversee outside contractors to ensure safe work practices
- Communicate with internal personnel to optimize facility productivity
- Support and promote health and safety programs
- Assist in preventative maintenance activities
- Participate in plant housekeeping and material handling safety activities
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Operate heavy machinery/equipment including forklift
- High School Diploma required
- Preferred qualifications include maintenance and operating experience in an industrial processing environment, operational experience, and knowledge of safety procedures

- Analytical skills to interpret data and recommend solutions
- Fundamental proficiency in Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
