Overview

The Organ Preservation Specialist is responsible for procurement activities related to the surgical removal, preservation, and transportation of organs. This involves working collaboratively with department staff members, physicians, and organ procurement organizations.

• Work collaboratively with department staff members, physicians, and organ procurement organizations.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program
• Required Work Experience: 2 years of operating room experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Required or Experience with organ preservation
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS certification upon hire, CST - Certified Surgical Technologist certification upon hire, LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State licensure upon hire, CTP - Certified Transplant Preservationist preferred, CPTC - Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator preferred
