ORF Operator

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the depackaging of food waste and products brought into the facility
• Aid in managing the daily truck loads
• Communicate with the team lead on daily depackaging workflow standards
• Complete daily rounds of equipment and capture process flows
• Accurately record all operational parameters and respond to unsatisfactory trends
• Write work orders on work management software to track repairs and scheduled maintenance
• Support and promote the philosophy of maintaining an accident/incident free workplace
• Adhere to, and have full working knowledge of, the company safety program
• Have limited oversight responsibility for outside contractors to ensure they are working in a safe manner
• Regularly communicate with internal personnel to ensure facility has upmost productivity within capacity limits
• Demonstrate knowledge of and support health and safety programs in all activities
• Assist and support outside contractors with on-site maintenance
• Participate in plant housekeeping programs and material handling safety activities to ensure safe working conditions
• Participate in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities
• Reliable and on-time attendance

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle is required
• Ability to regularly lift, move, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Ability to operate heavy machinery/equipment including forklift
• High School Diploma Required
• Preferred Qualifications: Maintenance and operating experience in an industrial processing environment. Operational experience may be supplemented with military experience or training in a related field. A relevant background in safety procedures/practices. Able to quickly respond to rapidly changing conditions. Ability to analyze and interpret data and to make sound recommendations on conditions. Fundamental proficiency in Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) on a PC or tablet required.
