Ordinary Seaman

Various Ordinary Seaman (OS) positions available across multiple vessel types, including oil/chemical tankers, bulk carriers, passenger ships, LNG carriers, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist in deck operations, including mooring, unmooring, and cargo handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and order on deck and in common areas.
• Perform lookout duties and assist in navigation as required.
• Support senior crew members in routine maintenance and safety drills.
• Operate and maintain deck equipment under supervision.
• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Valid STCW Basic Safety Training certification.
• Seafarer’s medical certificate (e.g., ENG1 or equivalent).
• Seaman’s book and valid passport.
• Prior experience as an Ordinary Seaman or Deckboy preferred but not always required.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding maritime environments.
• Willingness to work on contracts ranging from 4 to 9 months.

Pay

• USD 1,050–13,000 per month, depending on vessel type, employer, and experience.
• EUR 1,065–1,487 per month for select positions.
