About the role

The Premium Advantage Specialist enhances the customer experience by providing in-store support to national accounts during peak periods. The role assesses changing deli conditions throughout the day and tailors support to address store needs in real time. This position operates in-store during peak customer traffic periods, including weekends and weekdays until 7 pm.

Responsibilities

• Positively impact the customer experience by accurately assessing deli service needs and adjusting focus to meet changing demands.
• Actively engage with deli customers through timely acknowledgment, proactive companion selling, and product education.
• Develop brand loyalty and grow usage by providing recipe ideas and building rapport with customers.
• Host in-store sampling and product pairing events, focusing on product presentation.
• Build awareness of Boar’s Head Brand premium delicatessen products through consumer engagement and product sampling.
• Promote Boar’s Head Brand products by educating consumers on flavor, nutritional information, quality, and complementary products.
• Provide behind-the-counter training to deli employees, emphasizing customer service, product knowledge, slicing techniques, and product pairings.
• Create a selling culture within the deli and mentor associates to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Set service cases to ensure the full product line is displayed in an appetizing manner.
• Maintain retail product presentations, ensuring displays are fully stocked, clean, visually pleasing, and properly priced.
• Update merchandising and marketing materials as required.
• Complete additional activities or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience as a Brand Concierge or 3 years in retail sales, customer service, or a similar role.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with food preparation is helpful but not required.
• Must maintain a neat and clean work area and follow food safety and sanitation practices.
• Willingness to learn and operate a slicer.
• Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to different retail locations within the assigned area.
• Ability to transport and set up folding tables, utensils, platters, etc.
• Must have an internet-enabled cell phone.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs.; push or pull objects up to 300 lbs.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environment.
