Order Selector (Grocery) (6:00 am-until)

ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to one of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. The facility handles a mix of product types, including fresh, frozen, grocery, and health and beauty care items, supporting the supply chain network evolution to an integrated self-distribution model serving leading omnichannel grocery brands.

About the role

As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform distribution center shipping and receiving functions, ensuring product is moved accurately and safely throughout the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Complete all related shipping and receiving documents
• Select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform pre-operational checks of equipment according to company policy
• Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris
• Make recommendations for process improvements to maximize efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction

Qualifications

• Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable
• Able to use a personal computer for data entry and research
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High school education
• Familiarity or experience in a distribution environment

Preferred Requirements

• Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs repetitively
• Ability to meet company production standards
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
• Must be able to work the required schedule to perform assigned duties
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (e.g., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)
