Order Selector - Afternoon Shift
About the role
As a Shipper/Receiver you will participate in the distribution warehouse activities related to receiving, storing, selecting, shipping, dispatching, and delivery of products to ensure effective and efficient warehouse operations and product transportation.
Responsibilities
- Correctly select, palletize, and shrink‑wrap customers’ orders preparing them for delivery.
- Receive and stock inbound product in its designated locations.
- Rotate and replenish current stock in its designated locations.
- Safely load trailers in an even and productive fashion.
- Operate handheld computer and scanning devices for SAP used for all aspects of warehouse operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the entire warehouse and practice safe food‑handling procedures.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
- Support the Circle of Excellence and the Dawn Philosophy of Team Dawn.
Requirements
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, electric rider jacks, electric pallet jacks, trailer lift gates and pallet‑wrap machines.
- Minimum 6 months of related experience or 1 full year of non‑related employment experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 + pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.
- Available to work overtime as required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp, move, or utilize objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to use sensory perception for quality measurement of products. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus. Pay
$21.05 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential.
Schedule
Monday‑Friday: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (or until finished). Overtime and weekends required based on business needs.
